Cairo is the capital and largest city of Egypt. With a population of close to 22 million, is the largest metropolitan area in the Arab world, the largest in Africa, and the sixth largest in the world.
The St. Regis Hotel has a few great dining options including J&G Steakhouse, La Zisa Italian, Tianma Asian, and Sirocco Mediterranean. Please consult the hotel concierge for recommendations outside the hotel.
With Egypt being a conservative country where gay and lesbian activity can be criminalized as debauchery, caution should be practiced at all times in relation to LGBT openness and public displays of affection. Whilst it is common to see two Arabic men walking hand in hand, this would be unacceptable for western guests. The international hotels we use for our tours are wholly accepting of same sex couples sharing a room. It is recommended that you to express caution with activities such as using gay dating apps and of course in cruising.
There are no gay venues in Egypt.
