Teeming with marine life, Roatán, Honduras’ largest bay island, is surrounded by the world’s second-largest coral reef, the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef. The Garifuna, descendants of African and Indigenous peoples, have a vibrant culture here. Lush rainforests offer opportunities for adventure, while animal sanctuaries in French Cay like Daniel Johnson’s Monkey and Sloth Hangout and Arch’s Iguana and Marine Park provide unique encounters. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Spend time relaxing on the pristine shores of Big French Key, a private tropical paradise off the coast of Roatán. After a short zodiac ride, step onto soft white sands surrounded by turquoise waters and swaying palm trees. This is an idyllic setting for both adventure and relaxation, take in the views of the Caribbean Sea, and enjoy the peaceful island atmosphere.
Throughout the day, take advantage of a variety of water activities at your own pace. Glide across the calm waters by kayak, explore colorful marine life while snorkeling, test your balance on a stand-up paddleboard (SUP), or simply swim in the crystal-clear sea.
A delicious BBQ, provided by the ship, will be served on the island, allowing you to dine in a laid-back beach setting. Afterward, continue to unwind under the shade of a palm tree, stroll along the shoreline, or enjoy more time in the water.
